Smash Bros. BrawlThe pic to the right there is allegedly the roster screen for Super Smash Bros. Brawl. That’s a lot of slots right there, no?

Again, like I said: Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Super Mario Galaxy, Battalion Wars 2, and Super Smash Bros. Brawl: The four reasons we got a Wii!

Wait a minute… this list keeps growing each day! When am I gonna find the time, dammit….?

  2. Guch says...

…Is that Ganondorf on the right?

    That’s a lot of slots…

  3. Fairlady Z says...

    Photoshopped, end of thread.

This if fake, i saw this some time back when someone said that he had created it and wanted help with spreding it, can’t remember where though.

  5. Mune says...

As Fairlady said, Photoshopped and placed on a SD card or something to be viewed on their TV. Why would they be playing the game on a Philips television, anyway?

  6. KillerHeroes says...

I read somewhere that the game would have 50 playable characters.

  7. Sharp says...

Complete and utter bullfake. I find it odd that the screen would have only the ANNOUNCED players, and in such an odd order.

Probably fake. I think the roster screen will have a more white Wii-style to it, something along the way of Wii Sports maybe. Like the screenshots shown here: http://www.smashbros.com/en_us/gamemode/various/various02.html

THIS IS FAKE! Sorry to say it, but this pic has been going around the net for the past month and a half

If it was a real leak, it would have more characters that we don’t know about. Like Waluigi.

  12. Highwind says...

It has gamecube controller icons at the bottom. errr..

  13. droop4 says...

    @ hindwind:

It knows when u are using gc, wiimote, or classic controller.

    @Mune

    I have a Phillips TV!

  15. GreenMamba says...

This is fake. The character select screen for Brawl is white, not black, check the Names update.

I agree… This is pretty obviously a poor fake. One of the biggest clues: people have noticed that the Wii has a color assigned to each player: 1P = Blue, 2P = Pink, 3P = Orange, 4P = Green. Nintendo has stuck with that color scheme on every game they have made for the Wii, and of course the Wii channel menu uses it too.

  17. paq says...

davidchenault: That was a very intresting note! I haven’t thought of that, but it really makes sense… =)

  18. GreenMamba says...

davidchenault: actually, check the Names update at the Smash Bros. Dojo–the fake screen got it right. Player 1 is red, player 2 is blue (as per tradition in Smash, I suppose), going against what the Wii normally uses.

I don’t know, the only thing I can find weird with this pic is that Peach isn’t unlocked from the beginning. That and I’m pretty sure it is going to be like the other games where the Chars you have from the beginning are all grouped up in the middle.

davidchenault: You make an interesting point, but I think that the background color is actually determined by the character embossed upon it. As you can see, Mario’s background is red because Mario is primarily red: Wouldn’t he look strange in front of green or orange?

Though GreenMamba does a good job pointing out that in the “Names” update on the Brawl website, Play 1 is red, 2 blue, etc.

My question is this: Do you guys think that each character that the official Brawl site has thus far revealed will be playable from the first time you turn on the game? For some reason, I feel as though Diddy Kong should definitely be one you have to unlock, along with maybe Ike and even Pit. Though, if you haven’t noticed, they haven’t revealed Luigi (who you usually do have to unlock), and they haven’t given Metaknight an official character page: This, in addition to the fact that he appears to be one of the major villians of the Adventure Mode, leads me to think that Metaknight will be unlocked once you beat Adventure Mode all the way through.

I initially thought this “leaked screen” looked legitimate, but you all know far more than I do about this stuff, so I’m trusting you guys. I do think that there will be between 40 and 60 characters in the completed game, though.

I dont know…There will always be people who say this kind of stuff is fake. Weither or not it’s real they will assume it was made in photoshop. Theres no way to know for sure, BUT:

    1st game- 12 characters, right?

    2nd- 25.

    3rd- 50.

Even if its fake, its looks good. And is probably as close to being real as anything will ever be. Personally I’d be happy if it looked like that.

I mean, that’s basically what it SHOULD look like…Or something very close to it…

  23. chris says...

why does it say 3-player survival mode and thers 4 people

  24. chris says...
