Kororinpa Marble Mania confirmed exclusively for Wii

One of the (unfortunately) overlooked titles from the early Wii days was Kororinpa Marble Mania, or “Marble Madness with a Story,” as I like to call it. It was a cheap, no frills, but wonderfully well-executed title that took advantage of the Wiimote accelerometer. And now it’s getting a sequel.
Summary, and terrible pun, provided by Wired:
Hudson said today that the sequel, Marble Saga: Kororinpa, will be available on Wii in Spring 2009 in the U.S. You should be very happy about this. The sequel will feature 150 levels, four-player multiplayer, online leaderboards, and the ability to download new stages. And, of course, Wii Balance Board support, if that’s how you roll.
Did anyone experience marble mania the first time around? Was Marble Madness not the most ridiculously hard game ever? Answer either, or bring up something else, in the comments below.

Loved and finished all the stages on the original Kororinpa to their fullest (making the time for the crown on the last 10 stages took a while).
Looking forward to the sequel. Hopefully this time it will be, as the screen seem to indicate, in 480p 16:9.

Oh, I LOVE puns. I just happen to like the subtle ones. The ones that creep up on you, less obvious

At least the pun made it interesting.
I never heard of the first one, which is a shame, I love those types of games. You know, one’s that use the Wiimote.

I have to admit, when I was a kid, I was obsessed with Marble Madness, I even drew up a comic book which involved a guy PLAYING Marble Madness, getting sucked INTO Marble Madness, and realizing he can transform into a marble, and roll around some mazes.
Sort of like a rip off of Tron, Metroid, and Marble Madness.
