Harvey Birdman for Wii

In case you didn’t catch this, Capcom is bringing this Phoenix Wright clone to the Wii. The way IGN puts it here makes it sound as though there aren’t going to be any real differences between the PSP, PS2 and Wii versions, since they’re all being developed simultaneously. There really aren’t any other details, such as control Wii-ification, like banging the wiimote gavel-style, aiming Reducto’s shrink ray, etc.
My question is, given the usual quality of licensed games, do you think this will be a good game? Sure, it is Capcom, and sure, they created the source material as well, but I think it’ll be hard to keep this from becoming a gimmick or feeling like a rip-off. Your feelings?

Since Capcom created Phoenix Wright, I’d say this game will be great! But then what if Capcom wanted to bring Phoenix to Wii later on? If this game fails, then they may not do it.
I also think this game would be better suited for DS, if there’s going to be a lot of text to read. If there’s voice-acting, then it’ll be good for a big screen.

I think this game is going to have a really tough time competing with all the other titles coming out this year! (See previous post).

There is voice acting in the game (as well as lots of text) which would make it difficult to port to the DS (and expensive considering the cart size).

well, license games do tend to suck, but what was the last license game capcom made? Marvel vs Capcom 2? pretty sure. plus, i can’t forget the nintendo era license games. Duck tales. Darkwing Duck. CHIP AND FREAKING DALE. i bet capcom could make the best care bears game if they put their mind to it.
