First score for Madden 08 on Wii gets a, well… eight

Give us the low-down, GameDaily:
Don’t purchase Madden NFL 08 expecting beautiful visuals and slick looking menus. Buy it because you crave a more interactive experience as well as modes that you can’t find in the other versions. With 22 mini games, trivia and fun controls, this gridiron giant runs the pigskin into the end zone.
Having enjoyed Madden 07 on Wii last year (a first for me in many years on any platform), I’m interested in playing this one. Anyone buying it for Wii tomorrow?

It’s gonna be a hard sell with strikers, and metroid… but toys’r'us has a buy madden get a game 1/2 off sale. ‘07 for wii was a blast, but i have reservations about this being different enough to buy

I’m still waiting for Wii’s library to get those 1st party titles and such, and I haven’t been excited for anything until this. I’m probably gonna get it as I enjoyed 07.

I’ll buy it just for playing online, I can’t stand inviting my friends and them eating everything I have, the frekkin parasites. I gave them my old munchies first and then pull out the new bags but they all got diarrhea the next day, I guess using pineapple yogurth mixed with the nacho cheese is bad for you or something.

Nope. Still saving for Super Mario Strikers and Metroid 3 (I already gave up on Halo 3 for this year!)
But I read that Madden 08 on DS includes a paper football minigame!! No online play on that version, though…

Yea! Madden 08 is going to be great on the Wii.

And the best thing about the online mode its that it doesnt use friend codes.
August 13th, 2007 at 11:23 pm
you serious?! No friend codes!? I’ll definitely check out this game for the Wii! ^_-

Sweet, so it has minigames. That tells me it’s a Wii game for sure. Now can I play with different Miis as all the players on my team?
No? Awwwww.

I might pick it up for the Gamecube….because I’m old school and stuff like that.
August 14th, 2007 at 3:58 pm
*Ahem* When I read “minigames” and “NFL game” in the same sentence… am I the only one who frowns?
August 14th, 2007 at 4:34 pm
Funny thing is, I read that while the 360 version runs at an awesome 60 fps, the PS3 drops the frame rate to 30 fps! What gives?!? Wasn’t the PS3 supposed to be a graphics powerhouse that would smash all competition??

Now, now, you need to get a paper bag and breathe into it for a minute or two (preferably with some airplane glue in it) so that you can toe the party line:
The PS3 is more powerful than other consoles. In fact, it’s more powerful than any PC in the world and it run on love. It’s just more challenging to program. All developers love challenges, especially those which must be surmounted before they get paid, so some day soon developers will finally “get it” and it’ll blow everything else away and they’ll never develop for any other console again.
In other words…. Just you wait.
