“DRAGON QUEST® SWORDS: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors”

I predict another “long title” rant from Blake on an upcoming podcast. :)

I was half tempted to post a rant about the title. It’s ridiculous. I’m sick of games with subtitles after colons.

  3. Jack says...

Square needs to differentiate this from all their other Dragon Quest IP, that’s why ;-)

I hope epic means that this game will be lengthy, for some reason i think it will be realy short though.

This definitely looks like a worthy third party title. People always talk about the Wii not having any third party support, but between this, Nights, No More Heroes, MoH Heroes 2, and Umbrella Chronicles, the Wii has all the third party goodness I need and more. Between this, Mario Kart, and Smash Bros I can’t keep up.

I hear it takes 10 hours to complete, but I’m not sure it includes side quests.

Pretty good for an arcade-type game.

There is a radar, so at least it won’t be completely linear. The (1) Menu is an RPG element, so that’s a sign of some game length. One thing’s for sure, the swordplay will be fun.

Whether it’s short or not, I hope it sells well so we can get the other Dragon Quest games on the Wii.

I’m not expecting any sort of Twilight Princess length, but 10 hours seems a bit cheesy when the words “Dragon Quest” are in the title. But if it’s arcade feel they want, I can deal with that. I just found out about Atlus bringing Baroque to the Wii in the US, so that fills my RPG void this Spring.
