Brawl is stalled, so now what are you buying?

Jake and I were just discussing this … I already had $50 of my “Q4 budget” earmarked for Brawl, so now I’m thinking of getting Medal Of Honor Heroes 2 or maybe Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. (Super Mario Galaxy is already in the budget.)
Jake and I pretty much agreed on Medal Of Honor, but let’s put the question to you: Super Smash Bros Brawl was pushed back to February 2008, so what game are you buying instead?

I would buy Medal of Honour 2 and other 3rd party games, instead of Nintendo, so I won’t sound like a hypocrite when I complain about 3rd party lack.

I may pick up Nights, as well. Zack & Wiki and Trauman Center were already in my 3rd party budget. The jury is still out on the Olympics, especially since I plan on buying Rabbids 2.

The question my friend is what aren’t you buying. There are so many late Oct and Nov games coming my bank account will be thankful for a little rest from emptying itself into Nintendo’s pockets.

Zack & Wiki got bumped from a possible buy up to a definite buy for me, I planned on picking it up eventually before my gaming schedule lightened up! I also have my eye on the new Medal of Honor.

God, I remember just flying around in the original nights until I turned into a kid and died, no idea what to do. It was one of my favorite games.

Well, Godzilla Unleashed, Mario Galaxy, NiGHTS, and SC Legends were always on the list so I don’t know. I might shell out the money for a Zapper and RE:UC but the recent NEO GEO and Street Fighter announcements have left me hungry for a good 2D fighter (Guilty Gear). The fact that Guilty Gear comes out earlier pretty much secures it as my next purchase

My picks this season were always Zack & Wiki, Galaxy and Brawl, so now I think I’ll toss Mario & Sonic at the Olympics - it’s something my wife and I can play together.

I see 10 games that look good. Instead of just caring about one game Nintendo has me searching for another and finding 10. ugh. but to answer the question, prolly Zach & Wiki since it is supposedly based off of the old school computer adventure games.

I’m gonna hold my horses. There’s no need to spend money on something else when I already have it set aside for Brawl. Basically, unless something really surprising enters the mix that’s just absolutely amazing, Galaxy and Brawl (and the Zapper/Zelda combo) are already tugging aggressively on my wallet.
The only other one I would even consider getting is Umbrella Chronicles, but I’m waiting on the reviews to decide if it’s worth it.
It’s all about budgeting and patience.

Well, I already have money put away for both Zack and Wiki, and Battalion Wars 2. Guitar Hero 3 is being bought on 360 by my roommate (but I am still getting the Wii version for Christmas). My guess is that the money I would have spent on Brawl is going to go towards presents for people for Christmas (maybe more copies of Zack and Wiki or BWii for my other Wii-owning friends
).
This was an excellent question to ask, it really made me think, kudos.

BWii is coming out soon. i’m really really looking forward to that; i’m a big time advance wars fan. zack and wiki, galaxy, geometry wars, ghost squad, trauma ctr 2, rygar, samurai katana, nights?, disaster, DQ swords, wii fitness, sadness. and maybe fire emblem if i can fit that in. and i’m also very excited about dr. mario for wiiware, and some of the other wiiware titles.

Budget wise I’ll be getting Priem 3 (Not out until next week here in the UK) and Mario Galaxy.
It’s looking like GH3 and MOH (if they’re out here) will be topping my Christmas list.
Also, the amount of 3rd party titles that people are getting excited about over the next couple of months really makes me question that whole ‘Wii has bugger all games’ argument.
And does anyone else get the feeling (prompted by this post) that Nintendo have put back Brawl, not only to finish it properly, but to allow for breathing space for other titles. The amount of 3rd party software that looks like it’s going to be snapped up in the absence of Brawl may do a lot to alleviate the notion that 3rd parties aren’t getting any love from us Wii gamers.

But with Brawl off the list, I suppose I’ll replace it with…Damn, I don’t know. Maybe Dewy’s Adventure (which I keep saying I’m going to pick up but don’t) or maybe I’ll see what Fire Emblem is all about.

im not buying anything untill brawl (except maybe a game cube mote) but after brawl is realised ill maybe want to get trama center new blood, tomb raider aniversy, mario and sonic at the olimpic games.
