Animal Crossing: City Folk confirmed for November 16 release

Tuesday, July 15th, 2008 at 10:46pm by Jake

City Folk
Gamespot managed to grab the official release date for the just announced Animal Crossing game for the Wii. Animal Crossing: City Folk is set to release on November 16th, 2008. It is still unknown at this time whether, or not Nintendo’s new WiiSpeak microphone will launch on the same day, but it would make perfect sense to have it coincide with the games release.

I thought Wii speak came packed in with Animal Crossing? Did I hear that wrong?

^ Animal Crossing and WiiSpeak are seperat. WiiSpeak $29.99.

I know I misheard the conference and said it was through the live blog.

Well that is a little disappointing . . .Rather expensive for a mic, considering the price of a nunchuk.

yeah, i think the mic should be max $20, like all their other peripherals. Mics are pretty cheap, unless they can convince us that it has features and quality above the average mic i can buy at the store.

i am very excited for animal crossing though, cant wait.

    @ Welmerth

Apparently it wont be your average mic. It connects derectly to the Wii and you’ll be able to talk with your wii friends from (any?) game that connects to the internet

    Here’s hoping thats true…

@droop4, where did you get that info? I’d be very surprised if it was true.

oooooo im pretty sure they said it would come with a game… will be hard to justify/sell to my mates with no game attached.

Is it just me, or is this the lamest game ever conceived? Why don’t they make it come in a pink case, instead of a white one?

It may have its audience, just like Sims, but I’m definitely not in it.
