Wii U will support TWO GamePads

Two Wii U GamePads

Ever since the Wii U was revealed last year, we have wondered if the console would be able to support more than one controller. For the next year, rumors from game makers with dev kits said that only one Wii U controller would be compatible with one console. Well, those fears have been put to rest with Nintendo announcing during their 2012 E3 press conference that the Wii U will indeed be able to support a max of two Wii U GamePads. This is especially good news from the aspect of enhanced multiplayer and using the Wii U GamePad’s features as opposed to just only a WiiMote and Nunchuk. There are options aplenty it seems with the Wii U.

Now the question of how much a second Wii U GamePad will run needs to be addressed. What do you all think?

For years, he has purchased every one of the company's subsequent products (yes, including the Virtual Boy and eReader). It wasn't until he was a young teen when he bought a PS2 that he began to embrace cross-console relations, a decision he doesn't regret. When he's not gaming, Harrison is looking to break into the magazine journalism industry and realize his dream of becoming a features reporter.
