Wii U Virtual Console is now live!

Yesterday for America, today for Europe. The Wii U Virtual console is now available, and multiple virtual consoles games are available to buy or upgrade from your Wii Virtual Console catalogue. As a reminder the benefits of the Wii U Virtual Console games are:

  • Off-tv play
  • Save state (in addition to the suspend feature)
  • Configurable controls
  • Supports all Wii U controls including: GamePad, Pro Controller, Classic Controller, Classic Controller Pro,  Wii Remote and Wii Remote and Nunchuck

The total games available so far for America are as follows:

  • Ice Climber (NES)
  • Balloon Fight (NES)
  • Donkey Kong Jr (NES)
  • Excitebike (NES)
  • Kirby’s Adventure (NES)
  • Punch-Out!! Featuring Mr. Dream (NES)
  • F-Zero (SNES)
  • Super Mario World (SNES)

And the line-up for Europe is:

  • Ice Climber (NES)
  • Balloon Fight (NES)

  • Mario’s Super Picross (SNES)
