King Of The Monsters – NEOGEO – 1991 – 900 Wii Points
An action/fighting game that features city-destroying battles between huge monsters. Choose one of six monsters and travel around Japan, stopping to fight in various famous cities with the aim of becoming the ultimate winner. In addition to punches, kicks and other regular moves, each character has the ability to use more devastating maneuvers, like throwing flames and shooting laser beams, to defeat opponents. Wrestling elements are also incorporated, as you must completely exhaust your opponent and get a three-count to pin him and be victorious. Along with the player-versus-computer game, multiplayer options allow you and a friend to enjoy one-on-one matches and two-on-two tag-team matches against the computer. Spogs? I looked up and down the site and can not find out what exactly is a spog, I am assuming it is a reincarnation of pogs what ever they were.

I think from now on I’m just going to check out the Wii Shop Channel once a month instead of every week, and the way it’s been going I might do it every 2 months. I can’t remember the last time I actually liked what was offered. This 2 games a week with one being a WiiWare title is crap. I’ve said it before but at this rate, I’ll be playing some of the games I’m waiting for about the time that the next Nintendo console comes out. I understand all the reasons for the slow releases but this is getting quite ridiculous.

i don’t think spog has anything to do with pogs, since pogs were weird circular discs made from cardboard that you’d slam a heavier plastic circular disc to flip them over or somethig along those lines to win. a mix between marbles and jacks i’d say and nothing to do with racing. either way spog looks like crap and i agree about the disappointment i had greater dreams in mind when i heard of vc and wii ware.
