Wii Points to be renamed Nintendo Points

Thursday, October 9th, 2008 at 4:00am by Will

Apparently in November of this year Nintendo plans to replace Wii points with a new line of cards going by the title Nintendo Points. These new cards will be released in Japan and be able to work with both the Nitnendo DSi, and the Nintendo Wii.

It should be noted that once you use a Nintendo Point card in either system the Wii or the DSi, you will not be able to switch the balance to your other system. The points will be stuck on the system you originally used the card on. So if you used it on the DSi, you better enjoy that DSi shop. So when the DSi actually launches here in the States we will be seeing these cards as well.

If only there was some magical system Nintendo could use to link your point to a single account so that you could distribute your points between systems… Heck, even allow you to move on from a non-working Wii to a new one with all your VC games intact.

Can’t wait to see what the DSi’s reception is like.

If only there was a user name system…

Oh, you guys are crazy. No one’s made a user name system to hold licenses for DLC, that would be silly.

    ..WAITAMINUTE.

Help me out guys and state [what seems to be obvious to everyone but me] the obvious. What are you refering to?

The frickin points, Blue Rocks. We’re talking about the frickin Nintendo Points being transferred to the Wii and DSi and vice versa.

…Unless you already knew that by this post, like 2 weeks after yours.

    I’M SLOW—AGH!
