What day is today? Today is Pokemon day!

Have you already bested the elite four? Did you already battle and win against the Champion? Running out of thing to do in Pokemon Black & White? Well luckily for you today brings the launch of the Pokemon Global Link! What does this add to your game of Pokemon you ask? Well I’m here to tell you!

The most touted feature of the Pokemon Global Link is access to the dream world where you can plant and grow berries in your garden, decorate your home by converting berries into décor, and even befriend Pokemon that are normally unavailable in the Unova region. These Pokemon will likely have hidden abilities that would otherwise be unavailable to their species, so traveling to the dream world will be well worth your time if you’re attempting to catch ’em all.

To access the Pokemon Global Link, follow this link where you can create a trainer profile. Then to sync your game with your newly created profile, turn on Pokemon Black & White and access the game sync (available from the start menu or via the C-Gear in game) and you will be given a unique game sync ID that can be used to link your game.

In other Pokemon related news, Toys R Us will be partnering with Nintendo to give trainers everywhere a free Pokemon egg! Starting May 21st, trainers can bring their DS and a copy of Pokemon Black/White to the retailer to be given their free gift. The promotion will coincide with the Pokemon Black & White animated series where Ash will also be given a Pokemon egg which he must care for.

Currently in my copy of Pokemon Black I am in the process of battling the Elite Four, so the launch of the Pokemon Global Link is perfect timing for me. Remember, you can still add your friend code to our growing list.

Who will be booting up their copies of Pokemon today to get in on the global link madness?
