Virtual Console Monday - Final Fight, Ordyne, and Mighty Bomb Jack

Monday, May 7th, 2007 at 4:16pm by Staff

Three new releases for the Virtual Console this week:

Final Fight - SNES - 800 Points
There’s trouble in Metro City. The members of the Mad Gear Gang have kidnapped the mayor’s daughter Jessica and the clock is ticking.

Ordyne - TG-16 - 600 Points
The evil Kubota has kidnapped Dr. Tomari’s fiancee, Kana. Take control of Dr. Tomari and his ship in order to save her. Defeat enemies over a variety of landscapes spanning land, sea, and air.

Mighty Bomb Jack - NES - 500 Points
The sequel to the original Bombjack, Mighty Bombjack brings side scrolling to the series, and brings it closer to a platform game rather than the arcade / puzzle likeness of the first one.

Anything sound fun to you?

Why is it that no one is mentioning the fact that the SNES version of Final Fight is completely crippled by lack of a 2-player mode. Back in the day, when this game was new, that was the source of much bitching. Sidescrolling beat-em-ups are fun, but not if you don’t have someone to play with.

i had alot of fun with final fight, and i never heard such griping about it. but then i didnt play the arcade game, which i can only guess you are referring to, nor did i hang out on internet sites *sarcasm*

where i lived, it was about having fun. mortal kombat snes not having blood got a few loud complaints, but it was still so much fun that didnt get loud enough to bother the people around me. i miss those days. so much less complaining, so much more peaceful.
and fun sega vs nintendo rivalries XD
