Game Freak Director Junichi Masuda unveiled Tuesday during Nintendo’s E3 Developer Direct a few more juicy details regarding Pokemon X & Y. One of the new features that will be included in X & Y is the Player Sear System or PSS for short. The PSS allows players to connect, trade, and battle with each other, be it locally or globally online. In essence, the PSS will make trading and finding new players to battle easier than ever by alerting you when someone is nearby your 3DS handheld. In addition, the PSS will notify you online if someone across the globe wants to battle. This goes for trading and sending messages as well, which will open up more opportunities to capture more Pokemon.

Pokemon X and Pokemon Y are currently slated for release for the 3DS on October 12th in North America.

It wasn't until he was a young teen when he bought a PS2 that he began to embrace cross-console relations, a decision he doesn't regret. When he's not gaming, Harrison is looking to break into the magazine journalism industry and realize his dream of becoming a features reporter.
