State of play: One giant HD game and a ton of Nintendo ones

Combined video game sales across the world’s three largest markets (USA, Japan, UK) were released by the NPD group today. Here’s what the top 5 best-selling games were last year:
- Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, 11.86mil
- Wii Sports Resort, 7.57mil
- New Super Mario Bros. Wii, 7.41mil
- Wii Fit Plus, 5.80mil
- Wii Fit, 5.44mil
Activision took the top spot with Nintendo filling in the remaining four slots. Think we’ll see the same thing this year?
