right, so, what the fuck is the point of this post again?

  2. Roddy says:

Cammy was weird and freaky, that’s the point.

  3. Jan Panda says:

Cammy was totally hip to the jive. I wish my mom was as cool as her.

  4. Derek says:

Dear God, tylor, we’ve put up several “meaningful” posts and articles today. We didn’t, however, put that stick up your ass.

Given how disappointed people are with E3 thus far, I thought some comic relief was in order, but apparently, you’ve either not seen Order of the Phoenix, not seen Nintendo’s conference or are, in fact, related to Cammie Dunaway.

    Stop being such a tool.

  5. ResidentialEvil says:

I thought she pretty much sucked in every way possible.

  6. Jonkind says:

She’s there to appeal to the Moms and Dads and the younger. Not the hardcore or otaku, who are mainly the people who are part of the videogame press or frequent sites like Infendo.

In my opinion, at E3 Nintendo was more concerned with the mainstream press and media. This is what the Moms and Pops and families will see – the evening news and entertainment shows. The casual crowd. Cammy is the corporate face of Blue Ocean and the casual market. 99% of the titles that Nintendo showcased reflect that.

  7. I personally enjoyed her. I’m not sure if she’s the best speaker, but she entertained me and came off as a nice, genuine mother-figure.

And yes, she is the Camminator. I think that works well. :)

  8. Dave L says:

She was awful. Very forced, unnatural manner, and her attempts at humour were cringeworthy.

This post made me raise a smile, nice one Derek.

  9. SALTYB0B says:

she seriously was SOOO annoying, reggie should have done the whole thing….

  10. Carlos says:

i Thought i was the only one who was disgusted with that fake smile :D

  11. Joltman says:

She definitely stood out as a person who had never ever done any public speaking before.
The way she explained the plans, the games, everything, was done in a way that really should have been much better.
She had “empty happiness” in her – keeping that positive attitude when she knew people weren’t really interested in what she was saying.

Sure, I see that she wanted to take the stage for the first time, which provides Nintendo with the answer: don’t let her take the stage again.
Leave it all to Reggie, who’s got the experience necessary for speaking publicly.

  12. ResidentialEvil says:

For that matter I found pretty much everyone outside of the normal Nintendo guys (Reggie, Shiggy, etc.) to look extremely forced. That stupid skit at the end, I seriously don’t think I’ve ever seen any group of people doing their hardest to pretend like they were having fun. Simply awful.

  13. John says:

whos the lady on the right

  14. Ninja says:

Professor Umbridge from Harry Potter 5, John.

  15. -_Q says:

The worst part of Nintendo’s E3 conference is that there were no games.

    That was easy.

  16. Rushli0n says:

What I thought was the worst was her first attempt at throwing the disc in Wii Sports Resort.

Shouldn’t anyone demoing a game at E3…have like a good understanding of how to play it?

  17. Johnny Lee says:

    Wrist Breaker. WRRRRRRRIST BREAKERRRRR!!!1

  18. Kurt says:

She was IMO the worst part of their press conference

  19. Axel says:

I didn’t mind her, but her attempts at humour did make me cringe. I did laugh when she was introducing Iwata and she said “please welcome me in joining”, however.

  20. Run line 10 says:

I’m hardcore I only care about people who actually make games and the people who pay them! LOL

  21. Paul says:

She was very corporate, but the worst thing, easily, was four people on a huge stage playing Wii Music with extremely fake exuberance.

  22. Luigi Kid says:

How come nobody likes harry potter around here?
