Whoa…
That little info at the end concerning Deathmatch sounds exciting *crosses fingers for online*. Still no official publisher for The Conduit, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see it get picked up at E3.

This has potential. The Wii needs a mature blockbuster to show developers that games like this can sell on Wii. It only takes one. Maybe this will be it. It seems more comercially viable than Mad World.
looks pretty damn sweet if u ask me
This looks really good, I can’t wait.
I’m really starting to dig this game, and if the graphics in this trailer get improved upon even more during development, this is definetly going to be one good looking game. and so far it seems to play well.
At first I really had no interest in this game, but the Half-Life 1 style biological weapons are pretty awesome looking.
looks like half-life
Wow! Halo-Life 2 Primed Echoes: Book Of Secrets for the win!
Well made me excited…Also that comment at the end made me GRIN big time
cool
Is that a Wii Game?!?!
That’s a fine looking FPS!!!

Looks very nice. The only thing I haven’t been able to tell from either their tech demo or this trailer is whether they have any sort of physics engine in place for things like ragdolls and debris, or whether it’s all just canned animations.
That sort of thing is really to the point where if it isn’t in a game, it breaks the immersion for me quite a bit. I’ll still happily play the game, but after seeing in Boom Blox that the Wii *can* handle Havok physics just fine, I’d sure like to see some more Wii games make use of it.
I think online is a bit too ambitious for their first big project.
I’m skeptical, but I am a bit surprise with most of the people’s reactions are being positive (or it’s just here).
The guns and enemies look very lame and ALIENS!! WTF!!!
Why does every FPS have to have aliens!!
Very un-original. doesn’t look very good
@Kingbad
Not every FPS has aliens. Only about half. The other half are World War II shooters.
Honestly guys, I like the idea of the Wii getting more mature games, but this trailer reeks with blandness. The name, the guns, the style, have all been done before. Unless this thing can find a way to stand out amongst the crowd of FPS, it will flop upon release.
Ya, this seems like an amalgamation of many different FPS’s. Mainly Half-Life, Metroid:Prime and FEAR. The first few shots look like they’ve been taken directly out of Half-Life 2 Episode 1.
Looks pretty alright. Seems like pretty average fps stuff but it looks pretty.
If this isn’t a “hard-core” FPS kind of game than I don’t know what is. it should be interesting to see how it’s received. So many “hard-core” fans have whined about the Wii not having any hard-core games (I don’t agree, but that seems to be the common battle cry of so called hard-core games). Now there’s this game, let’s see if it’s received well, or attacked for not having “X” or “Y” in it. If it’s bombarded by criticisms, than it will only go to show that no matter what the Wii does, some people will never accept it.
This game reminds me more of Perfect Dark if anything. It’ll be cool to see what becomes of this game.
@Craig
You totally stole my post. It looks just like Perfect Dark. Hope it has the same huge arsenal.
@ daverage
Nothing new here for everyone else, but seen as the sum total of FPS games for Wii amounts to MP3, CODIII, Red Steel, MOH and Far Cry, anything remotely resembling a retread of Half-Life is a welcome addition.
In fact, shouldn’t this inspire someone at Valve or EA to give us Half-Life 2? The Xbox1 got it with a smaller install base, and it looked no better than this game.
As for getting a publisher soon, I wouldn’t be so sure. Everyone’s pulling out of E3, and every last 3rd party has repeatedly proven to me that they wouldn’t know an opportunity if their lives depended on it – and most of them do!
Looks real good for a Wii game, but the art and story sound cliche. Dialog’s pretty good though. Let’s see what happens…
potential. I see potential.
I also see what N- fanboys love to call “yet another generic Shooter”, if it was on any other system, so time will tell I guess.
So, hopefully, it will turn out well and hopefully it will have good online gameplay.
It is wonderful to see a third party developer actually trying on the Wii instead of making shit looking mini games and remade PsP and GC ports…
So far, so good.
Thank you Craig, at least someone else seems to not have forgotten Perfect Dark (you know, before the Haloz existed). Those reloads definitely hearken back to the alien weapons from perfect dark. Can’t wait to see what the final level of polish will make this look like.
Look interesting. I will buy it, even if it sucks. Because at least I’m supporting a real game. Hopefully more real games will come out on the Wii if enough people buy this.
definately perfect dark crossed with half life. but as good looking as half life 2? definately disagree. this almost looks like something that could run on the original xbox.
but who cares? let’s see how it plays…. it looks fun….
it’s bringing back urges to use a mauler in secondary function now… maybe a laptop gun too…
That last line reminded me of Duke Nukem.
@Wii Wii
in a another consoles it certainly would be “yet another generic Shooterâ€, but since Wii lacks this genre, it is mostly appreciated.
But I was actually expecting more at a Graphical stand point. I guess the video resolution do not help as well. I’m looking forward to see more of this title. A good 4 player local multiplayer and I’m sold
Best!!
i hope they rip off perfect dark!
its the best fps ever made only timesplitters compares.
And one more step for hardcore games…
Imagine what the guys at retro could do with this engine… Seriously if nintendo does not publish them then at least slide them some money for writing the engine.
I wonder what factor 5 thinks about this?
Wow. seriously that game looks amazing. I’ve said previously that Halo and the like don’t interest me to much but to see games that look this good on Wii, they need supporting. this is the kind of game people should buy to support the companies that try and make original games instead of porting crap from other consoles or just generally making half arsed efforts. I will be buying this game, no question about it.
This is great, exactly what the hardcore gamers have been wining for and it looks great. Online death match is gonna be the key, if they can pull it off we might just see what the Wii’s been needing… though they better get voice chat developed in time.
I actually wrote Nintendo a letter asking them to publish the game themselves. You all should do the same.
Even if it does look a “stereotypical shooter,” the Wii is in desperate need of “stereotypical shooters!” Mixed with well-employed Wii waggle and those graphics, it would be hard for the Conduit to fail.
High Voltage really has worked hard on this game from what it looks like. Let’s hope, for the future of third parties on the Wii, that this publisher will be successful.
@David: Said it perfectly. Haha.
I DONT CARE WAT THE GAME LOOKS LIKE I WANT IT NOW!
jus give me 4 player splitscreen and il preorder it rite now!!!
but yeah thq, atari,eidos needs to publish this game they know they need some games out there didnt thq lose sum money or sumthin
