it’s getting to the point where people will pretty much pay $50 for the privilege of tapping their fingers along to an album and the industry calls it an expansion pack.

metallica, acdc, beatles, aerosmith.. everybody’s getting their own cash grab add-on to what’s already an expensive video game (including controllers here obviously).

bah, i say. bah. like a crotchety old man. bah.

    @tylor:

I agree with you, to a point. If anyone deserves a stand-alone game, it’s the Beatles. They have enough great songs to fill an entire game on their own. Heck, one of my favorite albums is the Beatles’ “1″. It’s just a compilation of all of their #1 hits… and it’s incredible.

yeah, if this was anything but the Beatles I would be bah-humbugging with you. But I have to say….it’s the Beatles, man…

The beatles are good and all. But good music doesn’t necessarily translate to good rock band music. but hey i mean if you can get the rights why not?

    Beastie Boys.

(it won’t happen, but I will continue to dream.)

I thought this wasn’t supposed to have the “Rock Band” brand attached to it! This is bullshit, man!

What part of the game’s title “The Beatles: Rock Band” doesn’t link to the rock band name?

This is all good if you wanna keep playing with your parents.
I can’t myself ‘Rockin-Out’ to The Beatles. I don’t think there’s too much you can do with guitar simplicity, compared to the likes of Metalica, and the classic ’70s stuff we currently have.

But for those who don’t share my opinion. Have fun Rockin to Yellow Submarine.

This is rubbish if you ask me, downloadable content is the norm for rock band and GH, why not just release it as that? I don’t want to be changing disc when I want to play to beatles!

I like the beatles as much as the next guy, but this is just silly, just release the songs as downloadable content…

  11. frstOne says...

Yes, they say they will release all the songs we would want via DLC. But then, they want to sell more discs to make more money. I wonder how this will end.

“downloadable content is the norm for rock band and GH…”

Say that to the 7 GH titles coming THIS year including Metallica and Greatest Hits, and I haven’t even mentioned RB but they know how to control themselves.

This game could actually make me switch from Guitar Hero to Rock Band. I love The Beatles and think this will make an awesome game.

i heart the beatles too. i say put their stuff up as DLC and stop clogging store shelves with so called ‘expansions’.

what if i just wanna rock to hey jude? i’ve gotta buy the crap like ’she loves you yea yea yea’ etc… in the same package.

there’s early beatles and late beatles, and i friggin hate the early beatles. that’s why i vote DLC and maintain my crotchety old man status.
