In our last post we showed you Super Mario Crossover 2.0  in which Link makes an appearance in a Mario game. Well now Link is at it again and has made his way into another classic game. Nothing gets much better than playing classic Nintendo games and two great ones combine here in a remake of Pacman with a Zelda Theme. Our friends over at Zelda Universe found this version of one of the most classic games.

I’m not sure if you’re aware, but I’m a huge Zelda nut. I love my Zelda in all shapes and sizes. Handheld Zeldas, Celda Zeldas, even Smash Bros. Zeldas. This next Zelda I’m about to show you blew my mind in more ways then one. Animator Joel Furtado also likes his Zeldas, difference is he’s a lot more talented than I am, case in point the above video.

I would love to see the inevitable Wii U Zelda take an art direction similar to what was done in the video. It’s equal parts awesome and fantastic, and was obviously created by a fan who loves the series as much as the next guy, or maybe even more. I know that the video is all CGI and doesn’t contain a lick of what could be considered gameplay, but come on! Doesn’t it look fantastic? So what are you waiting for Nintendo?! Give Joel Furtado a call, like, yesterday!

Zelda HD (at CES this week) is the same tech demo we got at E3 last year, but it still has us clamoring for an actual game with these graphics and features. The coolest part is how the TV screen is completely HUD-less. Hearts, items and the mini-map all show up on the Wii U controller and it all looks absolutely gorgeous.

It makes me wonder if HUDs should die once and for all.

Kind of a slow news day in the world of Nintendo. It’s dangerous to RSS alone, take this!

The patch is coming via download, reports Andriasang. Snail mail options will be available to game owners without Internet access. The news comes after a game-ending bug was discovered last week.
