Do you really want a HD Nintendo System?
I mean honestly, who wouldn’t want to play a Zelda game in HD!

Recently Reggie Fils-Amie has gone on the record to talk about the recent speculation about Wii HD happening, and about the future of Nintendo in general.

[The] next step for Nintendo in terms of home consoles will not be simply to make it HD, but to add more and more capability and we’ll do that when we totally tapped out all of the experiences for the existing Wii and we are nowhere near doing that yet.”

Even with Wii Motion Plus and the upcoming “Vitality Sensor”… you really have to ask where can Nintendo truly go with the Wii? Are they going to give us more channels and services? It took them a while but we are finally getting a video streaming service like Wii No Ma in Japan, even though we have to pay a third party for that service.

Youtube Tuesday – Mario Teaches Typing??

Rumors, and Leaks are always subject to question when they first hit the net. Yet, for some reason, judging from recent Nintendo releases… I can see them trying to release Mario Teaches Typing again. What do you guys think, real or fake?

Nintendo denies WiiHD, dings analyst

reggie_fils-aime_20070711_e3_520pxNintendo’s own Reggie Fils-Aime openly declared to GameTrailers TV that the Wii HD simply does not exist:

Reggie: Michael [Pachter] continues to be the only one who believes that this is gonna happen. I don’t know how forcefully we can say there is no Wii HD.

Keighley: It’s not coming, period?

Reggie: No.

[As Transcribed by Kotaku]

And a ding at Michael Pachter! Kudos Reggie – but we don’t believe you for a second.  Didn’t Nintendo just recently deny the DSi XL, only to announce it later that week? Sorry Nintendo, but your track record for PR denials makes them entirely meaningless.

…although I DO so love it when Pachter is wrong..
