My feelings on The legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks
Update: The E3 Hands On

Update: Hands On.

From what I understood from an Nintendo of America employee, Spirit Tracks is actually not a continuation of the Wind Waker series in terms of a sequel to Phantom Hourglass. Yet the game happens one hundred years after the events of Phantom Hourglass.

The one thing I was complaining about before was of course the train game play. I said it is very limiting to exploration, and I was right. You are pretty much stuck “on the rails” as you explore the land. Traveling between destinations is basically being on an on the rail shooter, as you can tap and shoot things with a bomb cannon once again. Besides that you can control the speed of the train, moving forward or just stopping, blowing the whistle to make creatures get off the tracks, and switching tracks to go to different areas. Track switching is done by either tapping a left or right arrow on your screen, leaving very simplified game play. (more…)

Tetris Party: Mini Review and Tournament Details

Monday, November 24th, 2008 at 4:05am by Sean Buckley

Tetris Online recently announced that it would be hosting the first of series of Tetris Party Tournaments begining early next month.  If you haven’t picked this one up yet, now’s the best time to decide if it’s for you.  When Infendo previewed Tetris Party in early October,  I told you that it was shaping up to be the best values on WiiWare, and a great Tetris Title to boot.  Although I still stand by those statements, Tetris’ first outing on Wii has at least one shortcoming and one advantage you should know about.

Nintendo starts initiative to get Wii users online

Thursday, October 2nd, 2008 at 6:53am by Derek

Friends don’t let friends keep their Wii offline and disconnected.

Or so says Nintendo. A short demo video called “What You Can Do With the Wii” will be pre-installed on new Wii consoles to encourage new users to get their systems online.

Nintendo also announced a campaign that awards Wii users 500 Wii Points for helping a non-connected Wii user get their Wii console connected.

This campaign is exclusive to Japanese Wii owners and helps explain the recently release of the Nintendo Wi-Fi Network Adapter.

Released exclusively in Japan last month, the adapter serves as a “bridge” for an existing router and aims to ease the process of connecting the Wii to the Internet for mainstream users.

Why create a video walkthrough over a channel that launched weeks ago? The staff and I have been slightly amazed at just how many of our readers don’t connect their Wiis to the internet. For those few…you’re missing out on some great solid channels and features.

Be amazed at a slow (and slightly boring) video walkthrough. You’ll even get to see Jake’s extremely slow wireless connection in action!
