Konami delays Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D, but does so very stealth-like

Wednesday, July 27th, 2011 at 9:31pm by Eugene

According to sources at Konami Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D, which was scheduled for release at the end of the year in the US, has been delayed until an unspecified date in 2012. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

Kotaku spoke with local representatives from Konami of America and were unable to learn anything more specific than a release date sometime in 2012, but considering the fact that the game first released in 2004, hopefully fans won’t need to wait too long.

This is rather disappointing news to 3DS owners as it is just another example of a game being delayed or outright canceled in the last few months alone. As long as Super Mario 3DS and Tales of the Abyss 3D make it out this year I will be set.

What about you Infendo? How does this latest 3DS delay sit with you?

It’s the weekend which can only mean one thing…it’s time for Nintentunes! This feature is for anyone who could instantly recognize the world 1-1 theme of Super Mario Bros. but who may be unable to do the same with the latest and greatest from Lady Gaga. Enjoy the classic tunes!

Wizards & Warriors was developed by Rare back when they were still best friends with Nintendo. An action-platformer, Wizards & Warriors had some of the best music in the business. Although the sequal, Ironsword: Wizards & Warriors II was generally considered the better game, the original still plays well because of its spot on controls. (more…)

Retro-rich Contra Rebirth Konami Codes WiiWare May 12

Saturday, May 9th, 2009 at 11:55am by Jack

contrBut the completely new Contra title is only going to be available in Japan. Figures! Still, it would not be a surprise at all if the $10 title made its way Stateside after the success of other retro re-imaginings like Mega Man 9 (but not so much Gradius–corny!).

Konami, EA, and Ubisoft have titles on the way?

Hidden within a recent IGN article is a brief mention of Konami and EA. It is explained that both companies have IPs for the Wii that fans will be ecstatic about when they are announced.

“Wii owners can look forward to some exciting announcements from third-parties like Electronic Arts, Konami and Ubisoft. We know of at least two major EA and Konami IPs that Wii fans are going to flip over when they become official…”

Konami has Castlevania, Metal Gear, and Silent Hill… either of those games would be an amazing addition to the Wii. Ubisoft has Splinter Cell and Beyond Good and Evil, but what exactly does EA have that would make Wii fans “flip over”? Not to mention Konami released a teaser for what appears to be a metal gear game coming out, but no one knows exactly what that means… What do you think could possibly be coming out?
