Refreshing

There’s one major thing I noticed while visiting the Nintendo E3 multimedia site today, besides all the new first party games I hadn’t heard of before now: Color. Lots of color.

Is “more of the same” Nintendo’s new game plan?

There is no doubt about it: Super Mario Galaxy was one of the best Wii offerings of 2007.  It had great visuals, a great soundtrack, fun level design, and it featured the video game communities favorite little plumber in a fuzzy bee suit.  What more could you ask for.  Realizing this, Nintendo was bold enough to make the safest move of 2009 and announce Super Mario Galaxy 2, or “you know,...

E3: New Super Mario Bros. Wii initial hands-on impressions

I was pleased to see Mario return to his side-scrolling platform roots once more in New Super Mario Bros. for Wii.  Similar to it’s DS predecessor, New Super Mario Bros. Wii puts our hero in his original element – traversing the mushroom kingdom in a very linear and direct fashion – but the simplicity of the level design and gameplay demo presented at Nintendo’s E3 media b...

Quick Sketch – New Legend of Zelda Art

At the round table meeting at they showed the artwork for the next Zelda title. We were not allowed to take pictures… but they didn’t say we couldn’t sketch the characters. Miyamoto said that this artwork was key to the story of the game. However, he didn’t go into the detail of how important it was. It looked to be almost the box art for the game. The new character was blu...

Rough Transcript of Miyamoto Round Table

No short hand or sissy blog updates for this one, straight from Miyamoto’s translators mouth.

Miyamoto responded with this We try to have hardware and software developed and working before we actually show it to the public. We work hard on making our software and hardware accessible to everyone who wants to play it. It is our philosophy to plan development on hardware and aim for how software should wo...

Math problem: True or false?

Number of playable Wii/DS games at E3 right now > Their competitors’ games that are playable by the public right now, combined. Yeah, I’m genuinely curious. Vaporware tech demos need not apply.

M.I.A.

Nintendo promised more games for its E3 2009 keynote, and it pretty much delivered that. Mostly—where the hell was Pikmin?

E3 Exclusive!! Koopa Kids are Back!!

You heard it on Infendo first!!

Pay no attention to the plumber behind the curtain…

Kotaku’s snagged some ninja pics of Nintendo’s E3 booth, and what they reveal lends some credence to the rumor that a certain mascot might be making an appearance at the show today. Mario Sports Super Active Sweatin’ to the Oldies RPG Waggle MotionPlus Party, anyone?
