UPDATE: Reporting from an Event in NYC, Kotaku’s Stephen Totilo wrote the following:

I asked about whether there would be a Call of Duty brand property or a Modern Warfare for Wii this year — given the million-plus sales of 2008′s CoD: World At War on the Wii. An Activision rep in attendance confirmed that there are no plans for MW2 to come to Nintendo’s system.

Review: Call of Duty: World at War (Wii/DS)

Are you actively looking for that special kind of typical World War II shooter with a shiny coat of paint? Then look no further, as Activision’s new Call of Duty World at War recently hit the shelves on both the Wii and the DS. Not only does this game feature some dramatic scenes that would even make the “Geneva Convention treaties” cry, but it will also make some of us shout profanities at our screen, blaming the shoddy controls. The best Wii games for the fall (sorry, still no HDD)

As the leaves begin their inexorable metamorphosis from drab green to a cornucopia of reds, yellows and oranges, so too does the Wii library gain momentum and titles worth playing into the winter months and beyond.

Well, at least that’s what Nintendo and its third party developers want us to believe. Here’s what we at Infendo agree are probably going to be the best of the best for the fall. (more…)
