T-shirt of the day: Mount Playmore

Mount Playmore

Busted Tees recently unveiled a clever Nintendo-themed Mount Rushmore t-shirt for their online catalog that features Mario, Donkey Kong, Samus, and Link immortalized in stone (or in cloth and print to be more exact). The design itself is sure to make many (including myself) ponder, “If there was a Mount Rushmore for video game characters or designers, what four would grace it?” This question alone has been asked many times before, but nonetheless it’s neat to discuss.

When it comes to video game designers or visionaries, the four that immediately  pop into my head include legends like Shigeru Miyamoto, Will Wright, Ralph Baer, and Tim Schafer. Each has left a lasting impression on the gaming community and all are recognizable to a hardcore audience, young or old.

Now, I ask you this: If you were to construct a Mount Rushmore for video games, would you use famous characters or their well-known creators? Also, just for more fun, which character or creator would be the George Washington or Teddy Roosevelt equivalent? Let us know in the comments below!

[Writer’s Note]: Hello! My name is Harrison, and I’m the newest member of the Infendo team. I also like this thing you call “Nintendo.” I heard it’s pretty rad. Anyway, I recently graduated from the University of Missouri’s School of Journalism (Go Tigers!) with a degree in magazine journalism, and I have aspirations to land a career in the industry someday. I hope to provide you all with the best up-to-date Nintendo news that you can enjoy. You can also follow me on Twitter at @hmilfeld. Happy gaming!

Harrison Milfeld is a writer, editor, and freelance journalist from Missouri. Ever since he could walk, Harrison has been an avid fan of the world of Nintendo. For years, he has purchased every one of the company's subsequent products (yes, including the Virtual Boy and eReader). It wasn't until he was a young teen when he bought a PS2 that he began to embrace cross-console relations, a decision he doesn't regret. When he's not gaming, Harrison is looking to break into the magazine journalism industry and realize his dream of becoming a features reporter.
