Super Smash Bros. Brawl preview site is being previewed

The Internet’s obsession with countdowns for countdown sites advances unabated today, with Nintendo becoming the most recent pusher of this mind-numbingly presumptuous practice. Nintendo is guilty of putting up a countdown site for the preview site of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, one of the most anticipated Wii titles expected to drop sometime this year (or decade, depending on your level of cynicism).
This game is a system seller, no doubt, but I’m still one of the ones who’s being walking on egg shells cautious about the chances of it launching in time for the 2007 holiday season. Launching against the likes of Halo 3 is going to be hard enough — but Super Mario Galaxy and Metroid might be in the mix too?! That’s some tough internal competition as well.

“Launching against the likes of Halo 3 is going to be hard enough ”
This is Smash Bros with online added remember? This IS a Halo killer.

“I’m still one of the ones who’s walking on egg shells cautious” — Christ alive, Jack, could you be any more passive? That’s horrible! It’d be a lot easier to read if you used hyphens, too.
Anyway, I don’t see a large intersect between Halo & Smash Bros. consumers. There is one, but I don’t think it’s large enough to even worry about.
