Earlier this week, Jack told you about an issue plagueing many Brawl owners who hopped online shortly after buying the game at Midnight launch. I was one of those people and have been holding out for a solution from Nintendo, rather than trying the method of deleting my data and and starting with a fresh Friend Code. This morning, I’d like to report that the issue has been resolved on my system and that I now have access to both Spectator mode and the Wi-Fi Connection Options screen. Many suggestions were floated around on the Nintendo Tech Forums, but I just waited it out and the issue was resolved for me with no action on my part.
Other folks on Nintendo’s Tech Forums are reporting that lag issues are also becoming resolved.

well i hope these brawl tournaments are weekly because i’m not gonna make it on thursday night at 9, since i will have just gotten my copy of the game less than an hour previously.
I tried getting into an online match at least a half dozen times last night – it timed out on my every time. Lame.
I was able to spectate matches without any problem though.
That’s good….but nothing on why I can’t connect to people other than friends?
I made my first successfully connection to a friend last night. There was some times that definitely the system lagged. Maybe 3x during the matches we played. But other than that it was smooth.
However, right after. I attempted the 4-player random Brawl and still couldn’t find anyone to connect too.
It keeps booting me with some 8000 error message (like 8510 or something). Is this still being chalked up to Nintendo’s servers being hammered and my lack of patience. Or is it just my system?

I was able to play very quickly at about 6:00PM central without issue, by 9:00pm it was back to the ‘ol 85010 error.
I haven’t been able to play random players since launch. Friend battles, spectator mode, and the options menu have worked fine for me all along. But after 20+ attempts at random battles and no success, and after seeing many other people report the same thing (error 85010, etc.), I conclude that the online issues are certainly NOT resolved.
yeah i’m having the same issues online. the issues are not resolved. one issue is, but playing with anyone is still a big problem.
Last night I couldn’t connect around 9pm, played Subspace Emissary for a while and tried again at 10:30 and had a great time with random opponents. I have only experienced extremely minor lag so far.
I have only been able to connect to random matches maybe 25% of the times I’ve attempted.
Last night I tried to join a friend match (mym6, dococ, etc) and every time couldn’t get a connection. Booted.
I hope it gets squared away.
For what it is worth, when I have connected, it’s been all but lag free. One time there was some lag, but that was it.
I have rambled on long enough.
When i picked random brawl I always get booted when there are more than 1 player playing with me, but when there are 2+ players i always get Booted for some strange reason. There were no Code Error for me or anything, all it said is “Your session with other players has ended” or something like that. And then it takes me back to the Wi-Fi Brawl Menu.
Only time i get to play online with someone else was a 1v1v2comp.
Wow, first the problem is DBZ Tenkaichi 3 and now this….hope this gets fixed or find a solution somehow…..im using LINKSYS wireless by the way.
Lee, it sounds similar to me. Allow I have only been able to connect to random, and the number of players has varied.
I get the “your session with other players has ended” error often when I’m trying to connect with either friends or random.
What sucks is the boxes for each player (p1, p2, etc) that shows we are all in practice area, or registering players, or seeking, will always show the other players “brawling.” And then I get booted.
I always wonder if the other players did indeed get to “brawl.”
i hope nintendo fixes this quickly

I have not been able to play online at all. I tried so many times yesterday, and had no luck connecting with you infendoites. I can’t even get into a random match.
Doesnt look like the issue has been ” resolved” at all.
Oh well, i suck so bad I need time offline to get better lol!
Online was messed up earlier today, but I just rocked out for the last hour and everything was great. I did get disconnected mid game once or twice, but had many games in a row with no lag and no disconnects.
Really I want to know who cares about brawl.
its been working just fine for me…then again..I’ve got real friends, so I’m fine…^_^ lol
