Sega must read Infendo. That’s all there is to it. A 2D Sonic, downloadable via WiiWare, Xbox Live and PSN, will arrive this summer. Called Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1, it looks to be an episodic take on the classic, if not slightly forgotten and abused character.

We at Infendo would say we hate being right and thank you, Sega, for listening, but we know they’re probably too hard at work getting this ready for release. Gamespot has a teaser video.

Here’s hoping they get the formula right. Teaser says they might do just that.
