Brawl is near - prepare yourself!

Barring any further delays, Super Smash Bros Brawl will be out in less than a month. Knowing that it will consume your life, your very soul, and every minute of your gaming attention, there’s something important to consider. What games do you need to finish up before Brawl wedges itself permanently into your Wii?

Way too many. Only have 54 stars in Super Mario Galaxy. I’m still working my way through Zack and Wiki. One more Wesker mission in Umbrella Chronicles. Only halfway through Phantom Hourglass and Fire Emblem. And I’ve just started Dementium the Ward and battalion wars 2. Plus I want No More Heroes. Too many games and not enough time. When Smash Brothers comes, forget about it. One of my biggest complaints in melee was the computer players were not good enough. Unless I had friends over, there was no challenge. This should be remedied by the online play in Brawl.

On behalf of Europe…
SCREW YOU DAVID

Lifeisaglitch got it in one… lol
but when it does eventually come out.. I’m in trouble, I keep starting but not finishing games, the list of games I started, Final Fantasy X-2, Final Fantasy III, Trauma Center: Under the Knife , Lost Kingdoms 2 and Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters. I need to stop getting games and finish the ones I already have… Brawl will however crush all of these games when it comes out.
Oh, f anyone’s intersted, Gameseek, http://www.gameseek.co.uk/pd/NintendoWiij4nvf2btm/Super-Smash-Bros-Brawl has the release date for smash bros in Europe as March 28th, we can only hope I suppose, 19 days after the US release is pretty alright, a lot better than most games get.

A little slow here but I finally got through The Bigs last night. Still working on Fire Emblem and still need to hit Link’s Crossbow Training and Metroid.
February 10th, 2008 at 12:39 pm
Super Mario Galaxy and No More Heroes. Also I need to unlock the 5th stage in Rez.
February 10th, 2008 at 12:46 pm
Maybe i shouldn’t complain though im still not done with Galaxy and im stuck at the 14th skirmish in Advanced Wars (Dark Conflict here in the EU) Damn you Carter, you and your Yahtzee-Rocky Balboa-esq hat.
That and the fact a friend brought to my attention some time ago. Apparently i still have two secret levels in “Umbrella Chronicles” to be done with. So im good but the wait is still killing me…
And if i should get done i still have a Fire Emblem Rom on my hardisk.
Only way to get it in English its the 6th so a patched rom is my only chance… So don’t you judge me…
February 10th, 2008 at 12:54 pm
Advance Wars: Days of Ruin, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle and a million Square Enix RPGs on PS2… @_@
February 10th, 2008 at 1:26 pm
I left my Wii with my family when I moved for college. i think i know what I’ll be doing for spring break.
February 10th, 2008 at 1:41 pm
I live in Europe, so I got more time before Brawl launches, sadly. I got Advance Wars: Dark Conflict, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass and soon Lost Odyssey
February 10th, 2008 at 2:01 pm
I’m still not done Super Paper Mario…I’m still stuck on that stupid cloud level!
February 10th, 2008 at 2:39 pm
This reminds i still haven’t gotten No More Heroes. I guess that its a good thing considering we are nearing a pretty dry season for gamers on all platforms.

It’s funny you should ask this question, as I just recently put myself on a really tight schedule. I just beat Bioshock and I’m going through No More Heroes now, with the following games that I need to finish/play:
Zak and Wiki, Dewy’s Adventure, Metroid Prime 3, Paper Mario, Super Mario Galaxy (I don’t want to start til I can 100% beat it…probably my next game after NMH), Fire Emblem Path of Radiance (GC; I just have like the last 2 fights), Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn (I have to start it and beat it in a month? Pshaw, no way), Advance Wars, Days of Ruin, Phantom Hourglass…
You get the idea. I’m overloaded. I only plan on having beaten NMH and maybe Galaxy by Smash.

i m gunna finally c if i can get a wii with my copy of smash bros…
lupe
February 10th, 2008 at 3:08 pm
I need to beat a Tales of Symphonia file me and my friend have been playing.
February 10th, 2008 at 3:21 pm
I decided to play Pikmin 2 when Olimar was announced. That’s the only game on my docket before the Big One.
February 10th, 2008 at 3:30 pm
@Sensai savor them. Summer will be dry as always if you rush through them you wont want to re-play them in the summer but if you put them aside till after Brawl… PROFIT!
February 10th, 2008 at 3:35 pm
with so much choice, the modern gamer is always going to suffer from “long queue guilt” or whatever the official term is. there are tons of games from years gone by i would like to play.
and you know what? even after Brawl comes out half the people reading Infendo today will still want to buy new games before finishing old ones.
its no reason to be sad people
February 10th, 2008 at 4:32 pm
No More Heroes and Professor Layton.
February 10th, 2008 at 5:08 pm
I plan to start playing Prof Layton this week. Otherwise, I can always come back to Galaxy and Phantom Hourglass later.
February 10th, 2008 at 5:35 pm
Well, I just downloaded Paper Mario for the VC, which brings back lots of memories and is a blast to play.
I’ve been sharpening my Smash skills with lots of Melee recently, though I have decided to play something else (the aforementioned Paper Mario) so as to not get burnt out on the formula before Brawl comes out. I want to enjoy Brawl in every possible way when I get my hands on it.
Other than that, hmmmm………..
I should probably download another VC title (probably DK Country 3). That’ll hold me over for sure.
February 10th, 2008 at 6:30 pm
UGH i just got assassin’s creed DS and advance wars:DOR a few hours ago and i want to finish those before brawl… plus i’d like to beat twilight princess (i know i’m slow i just don’t have a lot of time at home - most of my video gaming time is in the car rides into school)
i usually get three to five hours of portable gaming time and three to five hours of console gaming time, but i’m stuck in the ice mansion in TP and it’s really starting to frustrate me - i think i might have to *gulp* resort to a walkthrough just to figure out the stupid “push the blocks around the icey path to make them land on a switch” puzzle that’s been in every damn adventure game i can remember since pokemon gold/silver/crystal.
February 10th, 2008 at 6:31 pm
oh yeah and that’s not even mentioning ocarina of time on the virtual console. ugh.
February 10th, 2008 at 6:42 pm
I need to start playing The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess and this time try to end the game, not like last time. >_> And also finish up Phantom Hourglass and Super Mario Galaxy while playing as Luigi.
February 10th, 2008 at 9:10 pm
Just finished Galaxy a week ago…all 242 stars. Ready for Brawl.
February 10th, 2008 at 9:46 pm
I’m screwed.
I’m finishing up a replay of Metroid Prime 3 in hypermode and playing Guitar Hero III. I’ve beaten but have to go back and complete Super Mario Galaxy, Resident Evil 4, and Zelda:Twighlight Princess.
And then there’s unopened games Trauma Center 2, Medal of Honor 2, Link’s Crossbow Training, & Umbrella Choricles.
I just need to quit my job and hook up an IV. =-)
February 11th, 2008 at 1:44 am
Probably play through No More Heroes again, and get into Metal Slug Anthologies.
February 11th, 2008 at 8:57 am
Umbrella Chronicles, Super Mario Galaxy as Luigi, Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition, Zelda:Twilight Princess (full complete), the rest of my Wii games not to mention VC games. The only bad thing about starting Brawl is that Mario Kart will be just around the corner. I don’t want to get too much into a game and then feel the need to switch.
February 11th, 2008 at 11:39 am
Because online gameplay is going to be so important for this Super Smash Bros installment, I’m going to have to set aside all other games in order to jump in right away and get included in everyone’s Friend Codes lists!
But I will continue going back with my current list of two dozen games that I have to finish across six different platforms!
February 11th, 2008 at 3:42 pm
Well, I’ve to play DBZ BT3, YGO 2008, finish the stars of Super Mario Galaxy with Luigi, finish Megaman ZX Advent, but I think that I’m not going to finish until Brawl arrives
I’ll do my best XD
