Skyward Sword is fully orchestrated

For the first time in the history of the series, Miyamoto confirms a fully orchestrated score for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.

“We can’t do what we did in Super Mario Galaxy 2 and not move forward and do the same thing in Zelda,” Miyamoto said.

He also stated that there are people on the development team “looking forward” to orchestrating the score.

This is something Zelda fans have demanded for a very long time. The music in the Zelda series has always been iconic, and soon, it will become “legendary.”

    I find it ironic, though, that the entire demonstration from yesterday’s show used MIDI music… I’m also fairly certain the most of the sandbox environment that they’ve been showing was very hastily built and hasn’t received any in-depth polish to its visuals. Link himself looks fantastic, though, as do the boss characters that they’ve shown. There’s still something off about the environment textures, though, because they don’t seem to look as good Mario Galaxy and I’m almost certain this game is being built with the Galaxy engine…

    @Kale
    Super Mario Galaxy 2 had in its trailers ad demos midi too. It is just a placeholder until a recording is made.

    I actually think the game looks different from Galaxy. SUre the colors are closer but besides that I don’t think it does.
