Seth MacFarlane takes on Super Mario Bros.

In case you didn’t know, Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane was tapped by Google to produce a bunch of animated shorts, whose sole purpose is to advertise a product in a new Internet-savvy way (video). In this case, it’s also entertaining as it involves Mario, the Princess and Bowser.

Haha Awesome. I didn’t know about these but that was great. I love Family Guy, you can definitely tell it’s the same guy.

It was much funnier when Robot Chicken did it first with Legend of Zelda.

I guess it isn’t the first time that McFarlane’s offering is a lame recreation of someone else’s joke. Certainly won’t be the last either. What a hack.

Ending sucked.

This is like watching one of those really bad existentialist plays, except without a big message on the state of humanity.
In other words, this is terrible and also has no meaning. It stains both Mario and Google to have something this unfunny exist in their names, except I’m sure Nintendo didn’t agree to this.

it was pretty funny, but i have to disagree with apok’s comments. robot chicken is quirky and fresh, but in no way compares to the awesomeness of family guy’s star wars episode, regardless of whose came out first. even both seths had fun with that fact at the end of the family guy episode.
p.s. – i know his comment was about zelda, but it was along the same lines as the two star wars episodes. i’ll probably get a bunch of hate comments after mine

I am of the “McFarlane is an unoriginal hack” club, and apok’s post kinda explains why. Not a big fan of his, but hey…to each their own.

First, I agree that in person MacFarlane’s a jerk, as has been shown in interviews and other TV spots.
That said, Seth Green (of Robot Chicken) is a voice actor for Family Guy, and there’s been a few in-show jokes between the son (Seth Green) and Peter Griffin about Robot Chicken. The most recent being the Star Wars episode.
Just providing some facts for this debate, to keep things in perspective, and accurate.

Heh Heh wow that was pretty good. “Hey Dragon” I never really thought that bowser could be a dragon even though he spits fire… I always thought of him as a drastically deformed turtle haha.

That was absolutely terrible, just like the rest of the tripe on Family Guy that they try to pass off as humor. Not original, not clever, and should not be entertaining to anyone with more than 2 IQ points.

“You got kidnapped by something that goes on a salad!”

Well, I was amused. Lighten up!

If you guys think MacFarlane is such a hack, why did you even bother watching this? For those of us who do enjoy Family Guy, this was just a quick thing to make us laugh. Get over yourselves.

Even though I really don’t care for Family guy anymore, that was funny stuff. Best part is when he’s talking about his trials to save her.
