Screenshots of Mighty Switch Force hit the web, continues to impress

WayForward Technologies has revealed its newest project to be Mighty Switch Force, a action heavy sidescroller to be released on the eShop. The Facebook page for Mighty Switch Force was just updated with screenshots from the game, and by my calculation, it’s shaping up to be one heck of a good time.

Revealed in the July issue of Nintendo Power, Mighty Switch Force is the spiritual successor to DSiWare titles Mighty Milky Way and Mighty Flip Champs. The game will forgo mass puzzle solving to focus more on action, and like many WayForward titles, will have a Metroid-esque feel.

Players will take control of  law-enforcement officer Patricia Wagon on a mission to destroy the evil Space Hooligans. “In Mighty Switch Force, we’ve crafted a unique puzzle mechanic that gets players not only watching in stereo, but actually exploring solutions in the third dimension,” says creative director Matt Bozon. “It’s the kind of platformer we knew was possible, but hadn’t seen until now.”

I definitely want to try the Mighty saga. I just need to finish a couple of games I already own first.
