Now THAT was an understatement. Holy cow.
I forgot how bad those were. And I remember seeing some of those as well myself back then, and feeling proud that I beat the game, not quite grasping the concept of a good or lame game ending back then.
I do feel a little offended that SMB was in that collection, but as I looked at it, compared to the other conclusions/endings of other games, yeah, it was pretty lame.

I don’t know the first game, or the game that ends with “Cool School”.

what those were the pinacles of endings at the time…seriously though to this day lame endings still bug me. i hated it when a game ended with little or no conclusion to the story. when a game ends with just a “great job, the end” that’s the biggest kick in the nards you can give a gamer.

Come on! I loved those endings…well, the kung fu one kind of suck but i still had fun beating it…that was one tough game.

First game was “Amagon.” The one with the school is called “Ghoul School.” I find it funny how the games with some of the worst endings were exceedingly hard. It’s as if the developers said to themselves “Well, no one’s gonna beat it anyway, so lets not put any effort into it.”

@knohbody you are exactly right yet the turtle game had some nice level art there. The funnies I think was when I beat bad dudes I think they ate a cheese burger or some thing LOL. The endings don’t bother me as much though they still don’t.

@ AtmanRyu: Yeah, I know. The Turtles ending is terrible. I went back and played that game a couple of years ago and finally beat it and was floored by “I can turn back to human form.”
@Run lune 10: When you beat Bad Dudes Vs Dragon Ninja, you save President Ronny and he offers to buy you a pizza.

Tell me about it streex. The city level was brutal. And the only way I could actually get through the seaweed at the damn was with Game Genie.

“You have excelled my skills.” Priceless.

Hey, Rampage was pretty bad. I stayed up all night beating that w/ a friend only to be rewarded with “THE END.” I don’t think there was even a congratulations or anything.

Mario?! Yeah I guess that should be in there… Though, a few of them games, Mario included, I certainly enjoyed without the ending, the ending doesn’t exactly spoil the game, it just makes you think… Why?

Mario got kissed by the end of the game. That was well worth it and makes it a good ending. I hope this won’t make me a blind fanboy.

Wasn’t splinter always a rat. I don’t think he had a human form. Of course, the game was just an adaptation of the cartoon. Which in turn was a complete bastardization of the original graphic novels.

I have to admit I enjoyed the Cool School ending where he tries to put his hand on her and she moves away.

I am almost certain that splinter is not really a human.
