Red Steel 2 will use MotionPlus 1:1 controls

This will come as a surprise to no one, but Ubisoft has embraced Nintendo’s new MotionPlus technology and will use it in the sequel to Red Steel. Perhaps the 1:1 sword controls will make the game worth buying? I kid Ubisoft, honestly.

“Red Steel 2 has been in development for many months now, and this new device will help us be even more precise in what we do with the product,” said Alain Corre, Ubisoft’s executive director in an interview with GameIndustry.biz.

Imagine that. A developer that saw potential in the technology and decided to make money with it, instead of complaining about how Nintendo blindsided them at E3 with yet another accessory. Taking initiative and making a profit… It’s almost like that’s how it’s supposed to work.
