Quantum of Solace looks good, due next week

Activision announced today Quantum of Solace, the upcoming first-person shooter based on the highly anticipated new James Bond film, releases to retail today in Europe and Nov. 4 in North America.
The game looks gorgeous for a movie-based title, evidenced by the footage above. Like Call of Duty: World at War, Quantum of Solace utilizes a modified version of the Call of Duty 4 graphics engine.
Quantum of Solace offers optional Wii Zapper support. Activision has also included online multiplayer, as well as a four-player split-screen local multiplayer mode exclusive to the Wii version.
Activision is hosting a midnight launch event at the Best Buy in West Hollywood, CA, beginning at 10:00 PM on Nov. 3. The event will have activities and prizes, including Best Buy gift cards ranging from $10 to $2,500, PS3 consoles, a Bravia 52″ 1080p LCD HDTV and more.
Check Best Buy for a full list of midnight launches nationwide.

There is a considerable boost in Wii graphics when the platform doesn’t have to share assets with PS2, as in this case (there is no World at War or Quantum of Solace for PS2).

After playing The Force Unleashed for the past few days on the Wii, this looks fantastic. I’m inclined to totally agree with Blake!
