This looks awesome, even if it looks like a remake of the old games, instead of a full sequel. I hope there are new characters to keep the game fresh. Motion controls are going to be sweet with this one.
Facebreaker just got owned. It looks too good to be true. Besides Galaxy I have not been this excited over a Wii game. I almost shat myself when I saw King Hippo. Bald Bull HAS to be there somewhere.
is this going to be a wiiware title or a disk title?
its just its visuals and gameplay seem very simplified, the gameplay there of little mac punching away from the camera almost seems fixed and 2D, and i dont see and real time action with what i asume will be wiimote and nunchuck, i thought this would be a great title to take advantage of the wii motion plus. But from the on screen control reactions a see hear it seems very limited…
i dont think what can be taken and seen from this clip here to fill a full length disk platform game
I know what you mean about thinking this could be a Wiiware title, but I think Nintendo will get it on a disc just to milk that money out of a classic franchise that people will drool over.
I wonder if it will support the Wii Fit Balance Board for ducking punches.
Are you guys really complaining already? We wanted Punch Out, we get Punch Out, and you’re complaining that it’s too simplified? It’s Punch Out! It’s simple, it’s cartoony, and it’s amazing.
I recall reading a piece about the time of E3 regarding a new Punch Out! game. However, the old article mentioned balance board support. Anybody can confirm this?
What I’m happy about: It’s Wii PUNCHOUT BABY! Little Mac + motion controles = win. I like the visual style, by the way. Punchout was never about realism.
What I’m bleh about: It’s a remake… or a Wii-make, if you will. Even if it is Nintendo making it, and it will likely be polished as all heck… but a remake is a remake.
Why not a full sequel with guest appearances by classic NES Punchout foes?
All I want to know is the control scheme, if they’ll bring back all the classics plus new ones, and if they’ll do anything new to spice up the game (hopefully more than “mini-games”).
First of all, how does ANYBODY know that its a remake of punch out?
Punch Out came out like what? 20 years ago?!? Super punch out was the original’s sequel back in the snes days.
And now( OVER A DECADE LATER!) we are finally graced with another punch out made specifically for the wii, WITH MOTION CONTROL no less ( and presumeably motion plus if it makes sense) and all most of you folks can do is complain?
Seriously?
Art style is awesome, animation is cool, and the punch out charm seems to be intact from what little we were shown of gameplay.
Plus, how can you NOT love that little remix of the oldschool punch out music?
Can we just be happy for once and wait till we can get some more solid details of the game before we decide to find something wrong with it.
It’s Punch Out!! for chrissakes people!

Is it just me or did that Punch Out song sound like it was remixed straight outta Wiimusic??

Yeah baby!
This should be a fun boxing game for the Wii. Way to bring back a classic.

Either way, it’s on my wish list.

OoOoOh, it looks slick. I’m excited again. Nintendo, you have me back.

Cool.
Old school fun awaits us all.
Now this is the kind of stuff I am liking on the Wii.
Yeah, it could be Wii Ware with those watered down visuals, but we will have to wait and see.

Yes! I especially like to see the return of the racist stereotypes.

Um, what racist steroetypes? Don’t answer. It will only make you sound worse.
