Console war over: Pokemon to remain an exclusive

The PS3 and the Xbox 360’s incessant infighting over exclusivity and which must-have titles are going to be multiplatform or not just became even more irrelevant to Nintendo’s global domination strategy than ever before. Why? Because Next Generation is reporting that Tsunekazu Ishihara, CEO the Pokémon Company, has predicted that Nintendo will win the hardware war based on sales of its Pokémon franchise, which he says won’t be going multiplatform.
“The hardware which has Pokémon on it will be the winner,” Ishihara said.
BOO-YA. Take that, other game console companies, because the Poke-master has spoken!
On a more serious note, I’ll argue that a system that has Pokemon will do very well indeed, but it by no means seals the deal. To do that you need Dogz.

wait… doesn;t Nintendo Own everything about Pokemon? Was there ever a question that it would be on any system OTHER than Nintendo? If is this just a taunting statement??

i thought final fantasy decided the console wars, squeenix said so.
and they have decided then to spread their IP all over so we can all be losers, by missing games that are on hardware we cant afford, or spending thousands on 5 different systems + the games just to play them all *sigh*

I, for one, agree with Mr. Ishihara! Pokémon is a major pillar of the Nintendo sales.
I think Pokémon doesn’t get the love it deserves around here, by the way…

invis. I hear ya. But I’m changing my ways.
Why, while at a local Toys R Us the other day I actually looked at a Pokemon Diamond Box on display in their video games section. I did not touch this box, but I looked at it from 4 feet away. Then I moved on. That’s progress.
