During today’s Wii U-centric Nintendo Direct, Satoru Iwata graced viewers with a special sneak peek into the development of the Wii U exclusive Bayonetta 2. The short clip dives into the development process helmed by Platinum Games and what the developer intends to make this sequel more unique. However, the video does not show off any new gameplay footage, or any clips that we’ve previously seen since the game’s reveal last September.

Iwata hinted that more information on Bayonetta 2′s development and release would be mentioned at this year’s E3.

I fear that there is going to be backlash from 360 and PS3 owners who played the original Bayonetta and cannot play its sequel because it’s a WiiU exclusive. Is it possible that the publishers could change their minds and release it for those systems too? Maybe not right away, but eventually?
