Pay no attention to the plumber behind the curtain…

Kotaku’s snagged some ninja pics of Nintendo’s E3 booth, and what they reveal lends some credence to the rumor that a certain mascot might be making an appearance at the show today. Mario Sports Super Active Sweatin’ to the Oldies RPG Waggle MotionPlus Party, anyone?

This might sound stupid, but all of that purple is reminding me of the GameCube, and I love the GameCube. ;D
Anyway, I’m so excited for the show! Can’t wait for it to start.

All this early speculation keeps pointing towards a NEW Mario game for the Wii. What if it’s for the DS. Then again, what if it’s not a new Mario game and something else. All in all, I TRULY HOPE Nintendo has a DAM GOOD showing at E3 2009.

I’d take another DS platformer too, and so would Nintendo, I think. New Super Mario Bros. was still in the top 10 lists as recently as Feb/March IIRC. Cash money!
But, I seriously think this E3 is all about Wii, and by extension MotionPlus.

I’m hoping for a proper return to a “Super Mario Bros. #” game for Wii Ware. For some reason I enjoy playing Wii more than DS right now. However DS/DSi/DSi Ware would make more sense b/c N needs to garner more DSi sales and Mario is always a system pusher.
But I wonder if they do this, will it be called Super Mario Bros. 4 or Super Mario Bros. 5? (B/c Super Mario World for Super Famicom was sub-titled “Super Mario Bros. 4″ – though this subtitle did not carry over to the US release of the game).
