Old skool Zelda art from Nintendo Power is awesome

Studio Fish has posted a collection of 23 art pieces “that were featured in Nintendo Power magazine from the late 80’s to early 90’s,” most of which are nothing short of amazing. Get that.

Love the artwork. Was it all really used though? I thought I’d remember any Link’s Awakening art, as I have years of that mag practically memorized!
@ Albo- Good rant. Exactly why I’ve lost interest in Zelda. Characters have so little personality, and are so detached from the world, it’s completely dissappointing. Jade Empire still stands as my ideal for story and character development. Characters were involved in the world. They had backstories. Long conversations were interesting. They didn’t run a chicken parachuting shop while happily ignoring the world around them.
Zelda is now a parody of what I’d hoped it would become.
