Awesome, loved the first one and I hope they do something different with this one so it’s worth a purchase.
@deepthouht: My thoughts exactly – using the beam katana in 1:1 would be most good newland, most good.
@Muggins: Yeah Santa Destroy was cool but there wasn’t really anywhere you could go apart from the key places to the story. Would be cool to see a GTA style set up city wise, but wth that NMH style and charm.
Whoaaaa!!!… Desperate Struggle? DS. The new no more heroes could be a DS game. Think about it using the stylus to fight with a sword. PLus the trailer showed no game footage so you cannot asume it is for Wii.
Interesting, I wonder if the “DS” subtitle is a hint or just a coincidence.
Glad to see them revisit the franchise (and I’m surprised it’s so soon). Hopefully things will be tweaked and a bit more fun added to what you can do in the city to break away from the missions.
I hope they leave out the city part of the game. I loved the missions but they simply didn’t have the time and budget to make anything of the city part. I can understand why they wanted to include it since the idea where good but I think they didn’t think about how much capacity it would need to work thus it ended up half assed in my opinion.
While I see that acronym myself, I seriously, seriously, seriously doubt that it would be released for the DS.
Now I am still open to the idea that you can release it on both platforms, but being an owner of the original NMH, the Wii can be the only platform it should ever be published on/created for.
But I want revamped sword-swiping controls so I can literally kill all those bastards in any way I want to!
Thats an assumption since the first is on the Wii. There is really no ‘official’ announcement that it’ll be for the Wii or on any other system. Unless someone can prove me wrong.
@Atlantis1982
It’s been confirmed but sadly it looks like it’s far of. http://gonintendo.com/?p=58658#comments
It’ll probably mean the game will be well made but still 2010 is so far into the future.
Wow, this IS awesome. Makes me wonder why they didn’t announce this at E3. Along with PunchOut, it would have saved the show for the hardcore crowd even if they’re not Q4 2008 titles.
If you have a look at the link I posted you’ll see that the game will be released in 2010 so they probably haven’t got any footage that they want to show of it yet.

Gold.
I loved this game – hopefully a more fleshed out city in the sequel.

I love NMH.
This is going to be grand. I’m gonna go play some NMH right now.
October 8th, 2008 at 11:38 pm

October 8th, 2008 at 11:55 pm
YES! Punch Out and NMH 2. Things are really brightening up. LOVED the first.

Awesome! But I can’t help that feeling we might get screwed over and this becomes a 360 exclusive. @_@
October 9th, 2008 at 12:24 am
This makes me so happy! I just got the original a couple of weeks ago and I am loving it. I will definitely be picking this one up.
October 9th, 2008 at 12:29 am
I’m just happy it exists! No word yet on the console, I’d be shocked if it was Wii-exclusive.
October 9th, 2008 at 12:38 am
So the rumor becomes a reality finally, oh also…
@Atlantis1982: Gametrailers confirmed it for the Wii, just like the first one
October 9th, 2008 at 12:40 am
I thought there were going to be No More Heroes.
October 9th, 2008 at 12:57 am
Let me just say, FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF YEAH!
October 9th, 2008 at 1:38 am
Funny – I played No More Heroes for the first time at last year’s TGS! What a fast turnaround.
I wonder if there will be a playable demo or just this video…

It better be a wii game.
If it is not, the earth will be saturated with my tears.

I hope this time around you don’t have to be american to enjoy the uncut version.
October 9th, 2008 at 12:08 pm
Yes! Finally!
I cannot wait for this now!
Oh, that reminds me, NMH is still in that pile of 40+ Wii games I need to complete…
October 9th, 2008 at 12:56 pm
Yes, yes, oh God, YES!
October 9th, 2008 at 2:12 pm
Now, THIS is what the Wii library needed!
I got to finish the first installment right now!
October 9th, 2008 at 4:12 pm
Desperate Struggle does sound like a clue that it might be a DS game.

I just want the city parts to be better. They were quite frankly lame and glitchy in the first one.
October 9th, 2008 at 8:48 pm
WOW man is the Wii starting to plie up with good games!
