Zoinks?! Kid Icarus Wii a no-show for E3?!
Tuesday, July 15th, 2008 at 10:43am by Derek
We are only an hour away from the Nintendo E3 press conference, and speculation has reached maximum overdrive.
After divulging information to the contrary for weeks, IGN’s Matt Casamassina has slipped that the hotly anticipated Kid Icarus revival on Wii may not be coming at E3.
GoNintendo has his quote:
“Uh-oh. Looks like we’re going to have to wait a little longer than E3 to see the kid fly again. Not too long, though, hopefully.”
We’ll know in a few hours for sure. Stay tuned to Infendo for up-to-the-minute updates direct from Nintendo’s press conference.

Man oh man, what an example of putting your foot in your mouth. The IGN guys have been just short of flatout promising people that Kid Icarus would be at E3.
That’s pretty embarrassing.

IGN sucks and I hope they are wrong.
If they are right, just damnit. If no Icarus if announced then E3 will be a disappointment for me, unless something insane like a new Earthbound were to happen.
Sadly, the best thing might be Animal Crossing. Yawn.

Jeez…what is the excitment for this game? The guy (Pit) shows up in Brawl as a bad-ass and suddenly oh my god there must be a Kid Icarus game in development. My question is, so what?!

TWhite: Fans have been clamoring for a Kid Icarus sequel for years, long before Pit ever appeared in Brawl. In fact, his appearance in that game has everything to do with those fans and their pleas.

It’s not Nintendo’s fault that a prick like Matt just wants to rally up the fanboy’s with complete, utter false hope.

You’re absolutely RIGHT! Pit’s appearance in SSBB DOES have everything to do with fan’s pleas for a new Kid Icarus game.
Call me crazy but there was no talk about Kid Icarus until AFTER Brawl came out. This game is more VAPORWARE than Sadness.
