Japanese media news site, Plala, has released info on an upcoming Nintendo conference in Japan…

Did anyone know about this event? I knew Nintendo normally holds a marketing conference for their stock holders each fall, but the promise of a Disaster Day of Crisis presentation makes this sound a bit more “hands on”. They held the same event last year, I wouldn’t get your hopes up. Basically they reiterate everything they’ve already announced to create hype for holiday sales.

Last year they also announced Mario Super Sluggers, Kirby Super Star Ultra, Fire Emblem DS, Bikes in Mario Kart, Smash Bros. Brawl delay, and Sonic in Brawl.
Plus, Capcom announced Monster Hunter 3 would be a Wii exclusive.

I wish for once around this coming time of year that Nintendo would go ahead and announce something like downloadable patches for certain games like SSBB or MK Wii. Hopefully more info on Sonic Unleashed & Sonic Chronicles gets announced also. Sonic & The Black Knight is one I’m not so sure about.

Maybe Nintendo will reveal Pikmin 3 officially to the public with gameplay footage, then a week later, release a playable demo through the Nintendo Channel.

No, Lance brings up a good point. It would be DARN GOOD idea if Nintendo started to serve out demos of upcoming Wii games also besides the DS Download Service on the Nintendo Channel. That way we can see just playing the demos if we’ll be excited enough to look forward to the game or not. Besides, I really hope that if anything, we get a Mario & Luigi 3 on the Wii instead of waiting for Nintendo’s next portable for a change.
