Club Nintendo members get official SNES controller for Wii

It’s official: Nintendo hates Westerners.
No no, it has nothing to do with traditions or buckaroos or our obsession with large, useless SUVs — it’s Club Nintendo, the Japanese-only club that gives its members all kinds of freebies everyone else only gets to see in pictures.
Case in point, members today can get a Mario desk calendar, a 2-disc Mario Galaxy soundtrack, or an official Wii-compatible SNES pad. We Americans get Super Mario Galaxy, which is cool, but I can’t buzz around the town with that playing in my car now can I?

Nintendo needs to rectify this. This is just pure evil. The SNES controller was the best ever made.

I had this exact same one. I had the Japanese version of the SNES (スパーファミコン in Japanese). I miss it… It’s back in France, where I grew up.
I agree with this pathetic fact. The Nintendo Culb is nothing in America, as well as in Europe, compared to the Club they have in Japan.
It’s soooooo not fair. I guess we need to riot in the streets, or something.

I’m a club Nintendo member… with over 10,000 star points… but alas, I’m a European club Nintendo member… no SNES controller for me.. best we get is Phantasy Star posters..

The controller should still be compatible with U.S. Wiis, right? I wonder how exorbitant they’ll be when they show up on eBay.

I rather get the soundtrack than the SNES controller, I’m happy with my Classic Controller. ^_^

I am a member of Club Nintendo here in Japan. I should clarify one thing. I am a Gold member however this promotion is open only for Platinum members. (AKA…Spent a LOT of money this year on Nintendo products.) That is why Club Nintendo is ‘Thanking’ them for their support.

Would it be possible just for Nintendo to put out an adapter that could attach your old controller to the Wii-mote, similar to the classic controller? how bad ass would that be?
I like the classic controller, but it doesn’t feel the same.

If you cant have one of those, try a converter instead. I have been using one for a long time.

A N64 Controller would be what I want most. I’d pay for it.
