Yikes, @ Grumpy - While it’s probably politically incorrect to admit it, when I saw this picture the face did seem way off to me. The hair has a bad dye job… I don’t know it’s just off. Certainly the videogame depiction of sero suit Samus looks like she is a white girl. I guess Japanese Men think white women are prettier too. Personally I think Asian girls are mega hotties.

That costume leaves little to the imagination. I WONDER… If YOU were in a skin tight costume, would you ” Fill it out” in the right male areas better than she does in her female ” right areas” ? What would SHE say about you?…. yeah… shut up.
She is nice to look at. End of story.
Only the ultra losers/ nerds on the internet would complain about someone that they NEVER could get to even date them in reality.
She is Asian, that is why she doesn’t look exactly like Samus, oh and also because Samus is not REAL…. maybe that could be it.

I not saying asian girls are super ugly but white chicks have more variety in eye color and hair color, show me an asian chick that is as hot as Angelina Jolie, with or without surgery. Doesn’t exist. The hottest asian chicks are… wait for it… HALF WHITE!!! Hapa. Asian chicks all look the same. Yeah thier eye and hair and skin colr can vary a little but not as much as a white chicks. However it is also true that something like 90% of all Japanese have no discernable underarm smell. Not sure why. Missing gland? So that’s the trade off uglier but less smelly chicks. I’m just saying I’d rather have a smokin’ hottie who has to use deoderant than an ugly asian ho who saves three bucks a month on Secret underarm protection.

Some Sociologists say that there are no biological differences between the races. That statement is at best scientifically untrue. There are obvious differences between the races. I am just being honest when I say I have aesthetic preferences when it comes to attraction. Just like like all other males on the planet. If you really dig asians like gradius more power to ya. I didn’t provide any false or misleading information, I have read the convincing rebuttals to The Bell Curve, I’m not racist, although I am white living in a society that probably occasionally favors whites. But I don’t directly participate in discrimination. I realize that being white in a society controlled by whites may make me a racist by some peoples warping of the term racist. But I don’t hate other races because of their race. I merely stated an opinion on what I find attractive. I you are offended by that and you want to restrict my free speech rights by having me banned from a place on the internet of no real importance (although I do believe this is one of the best sites on the whole net for all things nintendo) then you might as well move youself to a communist country where you can let outside sources tell you what to think about every topic under the sun. And what does free spech have to do with videogames anyway? If you can’t find an answer to that question go back to kindergarten

GrumpyDavid, I think it’s safe to say you’re the only person here who thinks Asian girls are ugly. The rest of us (guys) are having a blast watching Bikini-clad Japanese chicks play beach volleyball at the Summer Olympics.
But, to be fair, ideally a white chick would play Samus. Samus is Irish (Samus = Irish name, plus the names of her parents from the manga were Irish names, as well).

Anyone remember the several hundred hundred year period not too long ago when private restaurants, clubs, stores, etc… would ban black people? “Samus” isn’t an Irish name. “Seamus” is an Irish name. “Samus” is a fictional character.

I’m not saying that I PREFER obscenely large breasts, I’m simply saying that Samus’ breasts ARE obscenely large. Maybe even the opposite. I think this chick’s hot, but if you don’t understand what I’m saying, go play some Brawl as ZS Samus and pause it while she’s jumping or something.

uhhhh, whats with all fighting and bickering? thats what playstation fanboys do. anyways, this lady has a great costume and maybe she’s a fan of metroid. for the whole boob thing, she was better portayed in metroid prime 3. her charater model in brawl was just a little distastefull. i have respect for the charater and metroid property, but she was aproved by nintendo and theres nothing we can do about that.

Okay, here’s the thing: Samus may not be an Irish name, but Seamus is—the Japanese wouldn’t pronounce the “e”, so it makes sense that it would be dropped.
“Aran” isn’t exactly an Irish surname, but “Alan” is, so that too, would be spelled differently because of the game’s Japanese origin.
Samus’ parents were named Rodney and Virginia—Irish names, if I’ve ever heard ‘em.
So, this may just be my opinion, but I think there is very good grounds for believing that Samus Aran is of Irish descent.

Assuming you haven’t already been banned for your obnoxious and clearly provocative nonsense; women are women. Some are hot, some are not. Colour or “race” (which is an imaginary concept invented by supremacists centuries ago) has nothing to do with it. Yes, there are distinct physical differences amongst in people groups , but scientific research shows that genetically speaking, two people of differing “races” can have more in common than two people of the same colour. You sound like some old, racist grandparent. Oh, and how exactly does eye colour on its own make someone good looking?
Anyway, as for the cosplayer; I would and that’s all that matters.

No , but there are entire Aran ISLANDS in the west of Ireland. And of course, those itchy yet amazingly warm Aran Sweaters made in the ilands of ARAN, Ireland.
But really, who cares if she is of Irish decent, it looks like she MIGHT be, that is for sure.
I would rather focus on the attractive REAL girl in the photos, to be honest and stop worring about a videogame character.
