Nintendo Spotting: Wii is not indestructable edition

Monday, February 2nd, 2009 at 9:34am by Jack

Unlike the Game Boy, the Wii would probably not survive an attack in a warzone, as these photos suggest. Poor thing got caught up in a fire. Oh, and apparently Nintendo customer service replaced this Wii and a burned Game Boy SP for free. Happy Ending of the non-massage parlor variety GET.

My house caught fire a few years ago so I can feel for this guy. My Wii wasn’t near the fire so it was okay, but my Gameboy, DS, SP, Pocket, and Micro all took the full force and heat of it. Surprisingly, they all still work.

So your portables work…but a home console wouldn’t be able to survive a fire.

Nintendo makes invincible portables. ‘Nuff Said. First guy to tape the DSi to a stick of live dynamite and still be able to play the system afterwards with no problems gets $10 bucks from me. And maybe a slap in the face if it doesn’t work. WHAT WERE YOU THINKING, TAPING A DSi TO A LIVE STICK OF DYNAMITE????? $10 ISN’T WORTH IT!!!

I’d take that bet Lite. I have two DS’. The old original model and the Lite. My original is useless as there’s a crack in the top screen that won’t let the top screen light up properly. It’s still playable as long as you don’t absolutely need the topscreen.
