Nintendo Spotting: LEGO contest edition

Friday, May 22nd, 2009 at 2:09pm by Derek

Pittsburgh-based S.W. Randall Toyes and Giftes is holding a LEGO contest for children, displaying each of the entries—including this brilliant production of pixelated plastic—in its storefront window.

The artist was born more than a decade after the release of Super Mario Bros. for the NES. Who says kids don’t have good taste?

DANG!! Check out the sweetness of a AWESOME looking SMB 1: Mario & Luigi w/ a Spiny. The small M from Mario’s hat looks good too. Good job to whoever done this.

I’m quite fond of the dying mario with his hands in the air… brings back good memories. And angry ones (level 8-3 in particular…).

Those are amazing! Makes me want to go buy LEGOs now.
Maybe Nintendo will allow LEGO to release Nintendo-themed LEGO sets?

    @ WII-LUIGI$:

There’s a lot of people out here who want NintenLEGO’s. But they’re too afraid to admit it. Just like PokeMon. There’s so many haters, we all went into hiding, protecting the franchise from the shadows.
