Without much fanfare, pomp or whatever, Nintendo has unleashed one of the queiter Megaton announcements we’ve seen in a while with this list of upcoming first party release dates and windows for the DS and Wii.
At a glance, Endless Ocean 2 caught David’s eye, and the first half 2009 listing for Punch-Out!! caught mine. These two titles are by no means all the lists have to offer. Check out all the noteworthy upcoming release dates below. Be warned, for they are vague.

ummm… is that it?

No, they won’t announce all their games this year like this. They will save more announcments for other events.

Ignore this until it is openly and loudly expressed.
If its quietly announced, it may mean that they are not completely sure so for your sake dont jump to conclusions because a delay may happen, and you are in for a big disappointment.

They sure like their exclamation points! It’s going to be a very exciting year of games apparently!!

It’s all about Punch Out!!! (The exclamation points are mine, not the title’s.)
And I didn’t even know about Mario & Luigi 3 until today. Playable Bowser again!
The only disappointment is no New SMB 2. I wasn’t expecting that but that would be nice. No big deal, though. New games are new games!

No Metroid Prime? Fail.

Only two Nintendo games I want: Sin and Punishment 2 and Wii Sports Resort. If I really want Punch Out; I just get it on the VC since the Wii version looks absolutely no different: not a real boxing game.

Oy, why isn’t every DS game below personal trainer bolded?

There’s a few titles on that list that I want to get my hands on as well as a few others for the year. Here’s my list of must have games.
DS:
Mario & Luigi 3
Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon
Ghostbusters
Pokemon Platinum
Dragon Quest V
Dragon Quest IX
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days
Wii:
Punch Out!
New Play Control: Pikmin
New Play Control: Pikmin 2
New Play Control: Metroid Prime
New Play Control: Metroid Prime 2 (Please bring the multiplayer online with this iteration!)
Wii Sports Resort
Sin & Punishment 2
The Conduit
Cursed Mountain
Fatal Frame IV
Dragon Quest X
Mad World
I know some of those aren’t even on the list, but since they aren’t out yet, they could possibly release this year or next. Even though I have played the entirety of the Metroid Prime saga. I would gladly play through it again with Wii like controls. Bring Echoes’ multiplayer to WFC and you got gold on your hands. I tried Pikmin but didn’t like it on the GCN, so I’m hoping that it will control much better on the Wii.
