Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated, I’m afraid, so pack away those party favors and instead feast on this news tidbit regarding Nintendo’s now legendary sales dominance in the Land of the Rising Sun:

The total domination of games for Nintendo formats during Japan’s “Golden Week” series of public holidays has reached ever higher levels, with the top 21 best selling games all being for either the DS or the Wii and all but six of those published by Nintendo themselves

There are now officially more Nintendo products in Japan than there are people, cars and animals, combined. That may be a gross fabrication on my part, sure, but you had to think about it for a second, didn’t you? Nintendo Drought what?

Congrats Nintendo of Japan, you are now worthy of behemoth status (which falls directly under “Bahamut” on my Final Fantasy 2 (USA) bad ass scale).
