Looks a lot better than the screenshots lead you to believe. IGN’s Nintendo crew pan the game week after week, but the game actually looks really interesting.

I loved the original, even though I was too dumb at that point for games and had never made it past the first level.

I’ve never played the original, but this looks very promising.
I must say, after seeing the first screenshots for this game, I was generally unenthused. But this has made me think twice. It looks quite beautiful. Cant wait!

It does look beautiful, but I just can’t shake the feeling that it’s a Rayman or Spyro minigame stretched out to several hours.

Never played the first one but if the gameplay is as good aswell it looks it will be a hell of a game..

I was thinking the exact opposite. Some of the character models look nice later in the video, but otherwise, I thought the visuals looked really bad. Especially those textures, mainly in the watery caverns…terribly blurry. The gameplay looks kinda shallow, too…like a demo trying to pass itself off as a full game.
Here’s hoping we NiGHTS detractors will be wrong, though.

I gotta say that game looks pretty repetitive, not likely I’ll pick it up.

The visuals are pretty subpar IMHO. After playing Metroid Prime 3 and now knowing what the Wii is capable of, seeing this makes me frown. Plus the jump in quality from the cutscenes to the actualy gameplay is really PS2-like.
The game might end up being fun (though I also agree it looks pretty repetitive) but I can’t say it looks like a AAA title and more than likely I’ll pass.

Why did I start thinking about Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Gene Wilder version) while watching this?
Also, I had a flashback to a past Disney World trip.
